The Way We Wore… Wenjilli

16 Jun

I got a vintage Wenjilli gown some time ago, but never had the chance to try it on until recently. Actually, Fariba was the first to wear it (for our photo shoot for my Friends @ the Friendship Bell series). I thought it looked really great on her!

But Wait… There’s More!

I wore it for some pictures Enzo took last Saturday in downtown L.A., and I like it on me OK… but probably not enough to get it altered (it’d have to be shortened).

I think this Wenjilli could very well be one of the first items I put up for sale on my Etsy store (Staci Style – The Vintage Vault… nothing’s there yet). I got the gown on a whim, and am not sure how much it’s really worth; I only found one other online, a coppertone one, and that seller wants $285!

Hmmm… maybe it’s worth more than I thought and I should just keep it stored. Nah… I will sell it. (Funny though, I can see launching that store is going to be fun but also excruciating at times when I have to part with dresses I really adore! I’ll be picking most items up specifically to re-sell, but I’m also going to clean out my own closet periodically. That’s going to be the hardest part, I reckon… but I have so many dresses I’ve already worn on-camera several times.)

This dress looks GREAT on you. Worth having it shortened.

Pardon the pun, but I’m still hemming and hawing on that…
